TERROR in the USA: Three heroic cops and a quick-thinking street vendor stopped a madman from detonating a car bomb in the heart of NYC's Times Square Saturday night. The attempt echoes a failed 2007 attack in London. Bill Roggio notes there may be a link to the Taliban, but Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says there is no evidence of a Taliban link and police are interested in a white man in his 40s as a possible suspect. In addition to gasoline and propane, the car also contained a non-explosive grade of fertilizer.
