SHE & HIM: "In the Sun" and the dancetastic (500) Days of Summer version of "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?" are your twofer Tuesday, because Ken King and I got to see the duo last night.  Barely, that is. Millenium Park was a mob scene and the crowd control was sufficiently bad that folks on the lawn really couldn't see the band, except by chance.  That being said -- and without a close enough view of Zooey Deschanel to distract me -- I can report that M Ward runs a tight band with well-drilled harmonies.  Ken and I did sneak alongside the pavillion near the end of the set for a better view, though the band was still pretty small (and Zooey smaller still) .  The encores were pretty much the same as at Coachella -- covers of "Roll Over Beethoven" (letting M take the lead) and "I Put a Spell on You" (letting Zooey go at full blast), though I think both sounded better live than on the Tube. What you miss in that last clip is M Ward niftily looping a lick over a riff before escorting Zooey offstage. I recommend you see 'em... but then again, I recommend I see 'em next time. UPDATE: Here's the Chicago take on "I Put a Spell on You."
