WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Fast Five lapped the competition 83.6 million. That's more than twice the opening of any movie this year and nine times what the other films opening this past weekend made. (The previous F+F outing opened at 71 million.)  Rio placed with 14.4 million; its 45 percent drop is okay for a post-holiday weekend, breaking the 100 million mark and largely ensuring profitability. Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family shows with 10 million, dropping the typical 60 percent for a Tyler Perry flick. Water for Elephants takes the fourth slot, taking 9.1 million on a 46 percent drop; its 32 million take to date against a 38 million budget looks alright.  Rounding out the Top Five is the debut of Prom, which took 5 million against an 8 million budget.  Below the fold, Hoodwinked Too!: Hood vs Evil opened in sixth place, its 4.1 million looking bad against even a relatively low 30 million budget. Blame it on Rio?
