Steven Soderbergh's Side Effects shows with 10 million, about in line with projections.  Silver Linings Playbook continues to ride the pre-Oscars wave with another 6.9 million.  Hansel & Gretel rounds out the Top 5 with 5.8 million and 43.8 million total against a 50 million budget.

RUSSIA: Authorities detained 271 people, including migrants from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, and Afghanistan, at Muslim prayer rooms in St. Petersburg. Security officials are seeking to dismantle a terrorist group said to be operating in the city and planning attacks.

IRAN appears to have resumed converting small amounts of its higher-grade enriched uranium into reactor fuel, diplomats say, a process which if expanded could buy time for negotiations between Washington and Tehran on its disputed nuclear program.
