WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 threepeats atop the chart, the first one of the series to accomplish that feat.  However, its 16.9 million take is down 60 percent from last weekend, suggesting the sparkly vampires will drop out of the Top 10 by Christmas.. but having made over 570 million so far.  The Muppets place with 11.2 million, but on a larger-than-expected 62 percent drop, even accounting for last weekend being Thanksgiving.  The reboot has racked up 56 million against a 45 million budget, but please tell me some of you are saving this to avoid taking your kids to the next chipmunks movie.  Hugo shows with 7.6 million, adding over 500 screens, carrying a nice per-screen average and moving 2 slots up on the chart, but dropping 33 percent from its opening; awards season amy give this one more legs.  Arthur Christmas is in the fourth slot with 7.3 million, dropping 40 percent on many more screens than Hugo, which spells trouble for the well-reviewed film.  Happy Feet Two rounds out the Top Five with 6 million and a 55 percent drop that places it in in even bigger danger than Arthur Christmas (which cost considerably less to make).

EGYPT: To Sheik Abdel Moneim el-Shahat, the Muslim Brotherhood's call to apply only the broad principles of Islamic law allows too much freedom. He's a leader of the ultraconservative Islamists known as Salafis, whose coalition of parties is running second behind the Brotherhood party in the early returns of Egypt's parliamentary elections.  The Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party won 36.6 percent and the Salafi party Al Nour won 24.4 percent in the first round of elections, official results show. Young revolutionaries trailed badly.

IRAN aided, abetted and conspired with Hezbollah, Osama bin Laden, and al Qaeda to launch the large-scale bombing attacks against the United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam in 1998 by utilizing the sophisticated delivery mechanism of powerful suicide truck bombs, according to a US district court judge.  The huge explosion that destroyed a major missile-testing site near Tehran three weeks ago was a major setback for Iran's most advanced long-range missile program, according to American and Israeli intelligence officials and missile technology experts.

I have to include the non-live cover of "Heatwave" and "Strangetown" for reasons apparent if you watch.
