THE SLAPPENING:  Sean “Diddy” Combs claims that Will Smith and Chris Rock made amends after the Oscars, but they have not buried the hatchet or spoken since the slap.  Here's what was going on in the ABC control room when the slap went down.  The Academy has launched a formal review following Smith’s assault on Rock, and the union is angry too.  Coincidentally, Smith issued a written apology, including to Rock.  Hey, the ratings were up.

DUNE, btw, dominated the "craft" awards handed out on Sunday. Pretty amazing that the Oscars so downplayed the most popular of the Best Picture nominees.
