WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Crazy Rich Asians repeats atop the chart with 25MM on an astoundingly leggy 6 percent drop. This sort of thing usually doesn't happen unless your second weekend contains a holiday. It's almost certain to clear 100MM domestic, an amazing feat for a rom-com these days. Next week is a holiday, with no serious competition, so expect the rich to get richer. The Meg places with13MM on a 38 percent drop, again reflecting the lack of competition in the dog days of cinema. The Happytime Murders shows with 10MM against a reported 40MM budget. In the fourth slot, Mission: Impossible - Fallout takes in another 8MM on a leggy 26 percent drop as it closes in on 200MM domestic. Disney's Christopher Robin rounds out the Top Five with 6.3MM, but even without competition, this seems likely to fall short of the 100MM+ Disney likely hoped for.
