CHUCK NEGRON, a founding member of Three Dog Night whose lead vocals powered a string of hits including “"Joy To The World," and "One," for one of the top rock acts of the late 1960s and early ’70s, died Monday. He was 83. I am partial to the guilty pleasure of "Eli's Coming," and fondly remember The Service's cover of "Shambala," but more will remember "Mama Told Me Not to Come," "Liar," and "Celebrate." A couple of these also appear at Ultimate Classic Rock, along with some deeper cuts.
